Recycling Tabs

Most tabs can be reused by entering a new search argument in the Search Entry box. This is termed recycling a tab. You can also recycle tabs opened by amplifying; in this case amplifying from a new selection updates a current tab instead of opening a new one.

A recycle icon, by default dimmed (), is located on the top right of the Search tab The core tab used to search Bible texts, it consists of a search entry area and a search results area, and many other tabs. If a tab can be recycled, the icon is no longer dimmed ().

Most tabs opened when you amplify To select words or a reference and search for the selection in the text or tool of your choice. You can select the resource in the Library or Amplify menus. A triple-click is a shortcut which amplifies to the top tool of the relevant category. are recyclable tabs.

• Tabs are automatically recycled if the same amplify item is selected again under the same conditions. For example, a tab would be recycled if you amplified the word "light" to the KJV and then amplified a different word to the KJV. However, if you subsequently amplified from a verse reference to the same text version, the tab is not recycled; a new tab displays the results.
• If you amplify to a different item, a new recycling tab opens. For example, a new recyclable tab would open if you amplified from the word "light" to a different text or module Any Bible text, or other single tool that can be read in Accordance, including reference texts and articles; may also be referred to as content or resource.
• If most of a recycled tab was hidden from view, the tab becomes the active The application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element tab.
• The recycle option in a tab can be toggled on and off by doing one of the following:
• Click the Recycle icon ( or ).
• Press Ctrl+K .
• Click Window>Tabs & Zones>Recycle Contents.
