Amplifying Your Bible Study
The Amplify feature is used to explore and analyze search results, or follow a train of thought through all your Accordance modules
. All you have to do is select a word, phrase, or verse reference in an active
tab or pane, and click a target item via the Amplify menu or Library. The target can be as simple as a Bible text, or as complex as a favorite workspace or tab set up to diagram the grammar of the selected original language.
Put simply, amplifying is like saying, "Give me more information about my selection."
The ability to amplify is one of the key advantages of Biblical study and research in Accordance. This feature makes it easy to perform a tedious search of a tool or locate detailed linguistic information of each word in a text. You can:
- Get immediate access to any Bible text, lexicon, Bible dictionary, commentary, topical Bible, cross-reference, parallel passage, or User Note or tool.
- See verses in context.
- Locate places on a map or events on a timeline (provided you have the Atlas or Timeline).
- See the original Greek or Hebrew words behind an English text, including the key numbers.
- Parse selected Greek or Hebrew words.
- Diagram sentences.
- Hear English, Greek, or Hebrew text read aloud.
- Annotate the text in a Word chart.
- Search the current text for selected words.
- Search all or part of your library for any words or verses you select.
